My professional journey has been marked by a commitment to continuous growth and service. Prior to pursuing my master’s degree, I spent nearly twenty years in secondary special education, where I was dedicated to fostering inclusive and supportive environments for my students. This foundational experience, along with my previous role as a parole officer, has provided me with a unique perspective on the complex relationship between social influences and mental health.

I am particularly passionate about assisting individuals facing a range of challenges. My areas of focus include supporting LGBTQ+ concerns, helping those with chronic health conditions and disabilities, guiding individuals through addiction and recovery, and providing assistance to those dealing with legal issues and significant life transitions. As a Type 1 Diabetic for 40 years, I have a personal understanding of the struggles associated with chronic health conditions, which fuels my dedication to supporting others in similar situations.

I look forward to blending my personal and professional experiences to offer counseling to individuals, couples, and groups. My aim is to provide not only knowledge but also empathy and understanding to those I have the privilege of working with.

On a personal note, I have been happily married for twenty-seven years, and my husband and I are proud parents to three wonderful cats who fill our home with joy.

I am excited about the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of others through counseling, combining my expertise with genuine compassion.
