About Brittany

Brittany Brown is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC-Associate) who works with teens and adults navigating life’s challenges, including anxiety, self-esteem struggles, trauma, and relationship concerns. She is especially passionate about helping clients identify, establish, and maintain healthy boundaries, empowering them to build more balanced and fulfilling lives.

Professional Approach & Philosophy

Brittany provides a warm, authentic, and down-to-earth counseling environment where clients feel safe, respected, and free from judgment. She believes that meaningful change begins with self-awareness and is committed to helping clients better understand their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors without shame.

Her approach is primarily rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and person-centered therapy, while also integrating techniques from other evidence-based modalities to meet each client’s unique needs. Brittany values a collaborative process and works alongside her clients to create personalized goals and practical strategies for growth.

She also incorporates psychoeducation into sessions using articles, worksheets, and videos. This interactive approach helps clients challenge unhelpful patterns, gain new perspectives, and develop tools that promote lasting change and accountability.

Experience & Background

Brittany brings a diverse background to her counseling work, including experience as an elementary school teacher. This foundation enhances her ability to connect with adolescents and understand developmental and family dynamics. She has also received training in animal-assisted therapy, sand tray therapy, and Child-Centered Play Therapy (CCPT), which informs her flexible and creative therapeutic style.

Virtual Counseling Experience

Brittany currently provides virtual counseling services, creating an engaging and interactive online experience. She frequently uses screen sharing and digital tools to enhance sessions, making therapy both accessible and impactful.

Personal Background

Outside of her clinical work, Brittany is a wife of over 17 years and a mother of two. She has a deep love for animals and enjoys incorporating that passion into her life whenever possible. In recent years, she has developed a love for weightlifting, which she finds both empowering and symbolic reflecting the emotional strength we build as we learn to carry life’s challenges.

Brittany believes deeply in each client’s resilience and capacity for growth. She considers it an honor to walk alongside her clients as they work toward healing, self-discovery, and achieving their personal goals.
